Cleveland Bethel Church of the Nazarene has three areas of emphasis that make up the church. We are a Christian church, centered on Christian values, we are a Missional church, and we are a Holiness church. These three key values are the center of Cleveland Bethel. These three areas affect all of the church from the ministries to the worship.
We are a Christian church.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. This means that we believe the Bible to be true in all ways including in its recollection of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. All of our beliefs can be traced back to Scripture and Cleveland Bethel views the Bible as the guidebook to life.
“But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

We are a Missional church.
We believe that God’s word calls us to go out into the world to make disciples and take care of those less fortunate than us. This can be done locally or abroad. Our greatest ministry that fills this role is We Care Connection. This organization began seven years ago and has grown from feeding a small group of people to hundreds of meals being distributed to the homeless of Cleveland twice a month. We have a strong interest in reaching the community around us.

We are a Holiness church.
We believe that God calls us to lead a holy life which means we are to set ourselves apart from the rest of the world and follow Christ’s example on how to live. Christ lived a perfect life on earth without sin and as new creations, God wants us to lay down our old lifestyle of wickedness and follow His ways.
“Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, ‘Be holy, for I am holy.’”
